我同意你說這文章是容易令很多本來已覺難抬起頭做人的窮人覺得難受。我相信關麗珊不是心地差的人，但正受別人幫助的窮人容易為文所傷。他們每天承受的白眼及別人的「指教」已經太多了。他們最不需要別人再教他們骨氣的重要性。他們需要的是社會的接納，讓他們覺得是受尊重地受助，渡過難關，重建新生。如果旁人令他們覺得接受幫助是沒有「骨氣」，他們自然傷心。祇要有一個有實際需要的受助者覺得尷尬，我想已是太多。

為了家人，放下一己的面子受助，比為了個人榮辱拒絕受助，致令子女生活更困難，甚或輕生放棄，需要更大的勇氣。我尊敬這樣努力為自己為親人忍耐下去的人。難關祇是一時的，人生還有很多美好的人、物、事，例如孩子令人忘憂的笑容及關麗珊的小說等。

我同意可能有比送電腦更有成本效益的援助方式，也歡迎新的提議。例如政府直接優先帶頭僱用綜援受助人、長期失業者及老弱殘障者該是一個值得考慮的方法去打破歧視，還他們清白。他們有部份人是有良好工作能力並且已盡力求職，但因歧視而找不到工作者。例如你是長期失業及年事已高，縱使你人格高尚，工作能力過人，有高院大法官一般非年輕人可及的閱歷，最後可能亦要伸請綜援。再培訓和義務工作對他們根本是不必要的侮辱。以財赤為名，完全凍結請新的長工是矯枉過正之舉，害多於利。

就算接受別人送贈電腦，也不是沒有骨氣。我不同意說政府對窮人已太多幫助，希望受助者不要容易「誤會」及尷尬，故為此文。

我是Patsy的忠實讀者，但有些看法可能是君子和而不同。
