我覺得「安樂死」和「死亡」都不是這齣電影著墨最多之處。它描寫最多的主題是一個女子如何奮鬥要做拳王，以求無悔今生。奮鬥過程中有苦有樂，有別人不認同時的孤獨感，有朋友支持莫逆於心的溫暖，有艱苦鍛練時的辛苦，有成功的喜悅... 男配角和女主角都沒有後悔參加令他們變為殘障的拳賽。對他們而言，一刻的光輝就是永恆。我認為這電影是側重描寫奮鬥的過程及感受，「安樂死」的結尾祇是一種收筆的方法而已。
老實說，我不覺得它的主題及人物描寫得很深入。我比較喜歡日劇。
另外，我總相信健康是重要的。要建立成就，揚名立萬，總有不用那麼傷身的方法。要有光輝的人生也不是一定要揚名立萬，成為「世界之最」或天下第一的。能感受愛，付出愛，令一兩個人幸褔，已是光輝的人生。
