關小姐看"大隻佬"可能稍為匆忙, 或許看扁了電影,也看扁了杜琪峰.

佛家弟子藍天雲早在電影上映期間, 在信報文化版指出, "大隻佬" 並非簡單的前世今生的因果報應關係.

即就電影中的兩個主角而論, 張柏芝的女警雖知不免惡終, 仍繼續行善並希望利用這噩運來協助劉德華這僧人. 而劉亦因之後改變自己的仇恨而改變了自己的今世的未來. 這些說法也許未完全脫離命運的成份, 但起碼不是今天專欄文中所言的簡單.

導演杜琪峰在片子發行時, 亦曾提出是在香港甚困難時製作此片(片子當是去年初中左右拍攝, 八九月間上映吧), 希望大家採取積極的生活態度, 而不是怨天尤人.

我非佛教徒, 對佛學認識甚淺. 杜琪峰七一上街後為了北上而敷衍其辭, 令我對他的看法也打了折扣, 但無疑仍是本地電影工作者的傑出人物.
