Enemas and Treatments Performed in Ballet schools

I have a hobby of investigating all things going on behind closed doors around the world. One method of doing so has been poll conducting and conversation with people about their experiences. Among others, I have been in extensive contact with actual and former students of ballet schools.

What I have learned is that enemas is a standard routine in these institutions for all students.

The students learn to give themselves enemas. They are also given enemas from therapists engaged at the school, usually the same therapists that give the students massage treatment. These enemas is often of the colonic type, with a mashine that flush in and out water.

The occations for getting enema and connected treatments in these schools are:

- In the morning the students give themselves an enama of the traditional type with a solution prepared by the staff. Ice water enema is one type given.

- For young studenst living at home and not in a boarding section, the parents will typically give the enemas in the morning after having been instructed.

- After certain training classes selected students is taken into a therapy room and given massage. The massage is usually given in naked condition. Before the massage, the student is given something to drink to restore electrolytes after the training, but the drink also contain some relaxing meditation.

The student may also be given intravanous medication from some point in the tehrapy sesion.

Gradually the student get dormant during the massage. Then a colonic type of enema is often given to flush out all content of hisher colon.

After the enema special treatments is often given in the perineal region to make the structures in this region more flexible. One method used is to insert some type of balloon through the anus that is then pumped up. The same treatment may be given in the vagina of girls.

As far as I have understand this treatment is both given in the rectal opening and further up in the anus and colon. The purpose for the more intrusive treatment seems to be to make a better passage for stool so that the student more easily empty the colon during toilet visits.

During the dormant and relaxed state of the student, the therapist will also perform extreme stretchings of the legs and hip joints.

Often they insert a catheter in the urethra of the student to hold the bladder empty during the therapy.

Sometimes they they inspect the bladder, the vagina or the colon endoscopically, or with speculums, during these sessions. One purpose is to secure that the hard training sesions do not hurt the pelvic structures.

But students are also used as training objects for medical students and doctors under specialization, and it seems like the ballet schools get economical compensation for renting out the students for this purpose.

After the therapy, the student will usually be placed on a coach to relax and wake up, still with the catheter in place. Since the student has been given sedative medication before the therapy, heshe will often not be aware of everything done, and will often feel pussled when waking up with the catheter.

Traditional enemas is also often given before special events, like rehearsals.

Rectal Temperature Advices - Adults, Teens and Greater Children

Rectal temperature is the way you can get the most accurate reading. It also has the advantage that it gives you opportunity for a regular check of the rectal opening and the zone around, which can be important to detect symptoms of serious diseases or worsening of a disease.

Here are some advices how rectal temperature check shall be performed in patient greater than a small child.

You should use a digital theromometer with a tip so long that can be inserted just through the spincter area. A fairly long rigid tip with a bulb at the end is perfect. A fairly long flexible tip is also good.

Lift off the blanket from the patient's lower body. Pull down or take off the payama or underwear of the patient. Roll the patient over to his side. Bend up the legs of the patient so much that his buttocks get slightly seaparated.

Lubricate the thermometer well with Waseline or some other salve suited to apply in the rectal area. Let it be some surplus of salve at the tip of the thermometer.

With your left hand take hold of the upper buttock and pull his cleft upen so that the anus is well visible. You can also insert your tumb and three other fingers in his cleft and spread the rectal zone open by pressing your fingers apart. Hold the thermometer in your other hand.

Lubricate his anus with the salve at the tip of the thermometer.

Then gently insert the thermometer tip so that it passes through the anus, but not much longher. When using a thermometer with a bulb at the tip, the bulb will help fix the thermometer in position if the bulb is placed just past the spincter.

The insertion angle is important for a comfortable insertion. Insert the thermometer tip perpendicular to the anal area, or with the thermometer inclining a little foreward. If the insertion is difficult, negotiate by gently pushing the thermometer forewards and backwards a little while also pressing gently inwards.

Then let the buttocks close around the thermometer and press the buttocks a little together with one hand while holding the thermometer in place with the other. This is to ensure that the thermometer tip will be exposed to the inner body temperature. Hold the thermometer in place 3 minutes or until the electronic thermometer indicate that the reading is finished with a beep.

Then gently spread open the buttock cleft again and slowly pull out the thermometer.

Read and notate the temperature measured. Write down the reading in a book for further comaprizon.

Weap away any surplus of salve from the anus of the patient with a paper. Pull back his underwear, stretch out his legs again and reposition him in a comfortable position. Recover the patient with the blanket.

Boy 11yo, NA, North America, Called in for internal inspections in the 1960es

I am male. It happened in North America. Before 1970. 11 year old. Parents said I had a doctors appointment, no more explanation. My parents drove me to the exam at a health center.

All children with some kind of health problem seemed to be called in.

Preparations before the exam:
I was not allowed to eat ome time before the exam. I got laxatives at home to clean out my stomach the day before the exam. I got a traditional enema before the exam to clean out my stomach. I was given a gown but was naked under the gown in the time I stayed awake.

They placed me upon a simple examination table. I got IV tube into blood vessels, in a leg. I got a blood pressure monitor wrappep around an arm or leg. I got electrodes on my cheast. I got anesthesia through a tube into my anus that had effect on my whole body. I got some numbing and lubricating cream injected into my urinary opening. The anesthesia made me relaxed, but I was conscious.

Exam with outer equipment:
They performed an ECG, functional test of the heart function, with electrodes on my chest and other body areas. They took stomach x-ray pictures. They took x-ray pictures of my hip area.

Internal inspections:
They inspected the inside of my urethra and bladder with a scope. The doctor explored my anus with a finger.

Arrangements after the exam:
I had catheter into my bladder. I lay with my legs in stirrups some time after the exam. I lay naked under a blanket after the exam. I stayed overnight in a clinic ward until the catheter was removed.

The school I intended:
I attended ordinary daytime school.

COMMENTS:

These kind of ordeals, where greater groups of children are called in for invasive exams taking a whole day or more, have a longt history, of which this is an example. The procedure seems to have been the same all the time, only that the equipment have got steadily more modern, and internal inspections made possible with the most modern equipment have been gradually added.

The experiemcer indicated that he got anesthesia through the anus. This is a method used sometimes. But in this case the anesthesia was most probably adminitered though the IV and contrast fluid for the stomach x-ray administered through the anus.

I am female. It happened in Western Europe, 2010-2014, 11 year old. My parents drove me to the exam. It happened At a room in the school that was preliminary prepared for the event. It happened to a selected percentage of the children in my school of the age group.

Preparations:
I was not allowed to eat some time before the exam. I had to strip totally naked before the exam. I was placed to lay on my back with my legs flexed up, spread and mounted upon two devices. I got a device on a finger or a toe to measure pulse and oxygen in my blood. I got a blood pressure monitor wrapped around an arm or a toe. I got electrodes on my cheast. I got something to swallow for anesthesia.

External examinationa:

Arrangements afterwards:
I lay with my legs in stirrups some time after the exam. I lay naked under a blanket after the exam.

Type of school:
I went to a Montessori school.

COMMENTS:

It seems to be common to let children at Montessori schools go through an extended physical like this. Probably all children at this school went through this type of exam, but at somewhat different ages depending on the development status.

It is also probable that the children at the school had a similar exam under anesthesia at the age of 6-7.

At Montessori schools one tries to treat children individually, but in order to do so, one seems to perform rather extensive psychological and physical exams at various ages. Since one can read very much about the development status of a kid from findings in the pelvic zone, this sone seems to be the most extensively assessed at these schools.

It is also possible that the school let some research project used the kids for their purpose, and that the school got financial support for letting the kids be used.

The thing reported as exam with a scope through the vagina was most probably an inspection of the bladder through the urethra, since it can be useful to detect some common bladder problems in children.

I am female. It happened in North America. 2000-2009", 11 year old. I was staying with relatives. my cousin took me to a friend's house, where they said they needed to do an exam on me. I was taken to a room with a table and a doctor. My cousin said all girls my age had to have it done. it was on the coast of California, at someone's house. he drove me there. I never told my parents. I saw photos of other girls there, so i know it happened to them too.

They washed my body before the exam. I mostly only had my underwear on the time I stayed awake. I was placed to lay on my back with my legs flexed up, spread and mounted upon two devices. I was placed to lay on my stomach with my legs flexed down and spread. I got a breathing tube that provided anesthesia.

I got lubricating and numbing cream into my vagina. I got some numbing and lubricating cream injected into my anus. The anesthesia only took away pain. The anesthesia made me relaxed, but I was conscious. I was mostly awake during the procedure, despite anesthesia given.","

I walked into the room and they told me to take off my clothes down to my underwear. I sat on the edge of the chair in just my bra and panties. (I didnt know it at the time, but it was a gyno chair.) They gave me some gas, and put the tube over and covering my face, telling me it was to help me relax.

I remember i lost control of my body and fell back, but i was awake. I just couldnt move. I felt someone taking off my panties and then my bra. They put my legs in stirrups and i saw myself but i couldnt move.

External manipulations:
The next thing i remember is looking down and seeing someone with his nose in my vagina. I felt it, then i felt fingers inside me, around my vagina and my asshole. They were pushing harder and it started to hurt but i couldnt move. I remember someone recording it with a video camera, looking into the camera and feeling like i was drooling
at some point.

Someone lifted me and turned me around. they put a pillow under my stomach and i was bent over. I felt myself being licked and poked, i couldnt tell what, but it wasnt something big. I remember at least one of them kept smelling me, like really into me, and i remember feeling so embarrassed.

Internal manipulations:
They examined my genitals with an ultrasound device. They had electrodes at my genitals to record functions in this area. They inspected my vagina with a scope.

The doctor explored my vagina with a finger. The doctor explored my anus with a finger. I couldnt tell, I just could feel something like a finger sliding into me, in my vagina and my anus. When it started to hurt, they stopped. I think maybe i moaned when it hurt, so they stopped for a minute. I have no idea how long it happened. I know i could feel everything.

Arrangements after the exam:
I lay with my legs in stirrups some time after the exam. I just lay some time in a bed to recover. I lay naked under a blanket after the exam.

I had my underwear on after the exam. Well i remember like waking up, and i was alone in the room. I was on my back again but i dont know how i got there. One of my ankels was in the stirrup, but the other was not. I got down and was really drousy. someone came in and handed me my jeans and shirt and bra, but they didnt give me my panties. I was too embarrassed to ask for them.

I just remember after getting dressed, my cousin took me to the car. we didnt say anything, and he drove me back to the house. I never told my parents. My cousin left the next day, and i didnt see him again for a few years. I never asked him about it. I attended private boarding school. It was a private middle school. I was on summer break, so we were staying at my aunt's house by the beach. my cousin took me out.

COMMENTS:

It is difficult to interprete this event. It may be that some people with medical knowledge did it all for their own sexual gratification and that they also took pictures and videos of the abuse.

It is however also possible that her parents had arranged with a doctor living in that house to do a thorrough exam because of some concern.

Still another possibility is that she was taken to be a guinea pig in some medical study, with or without the knowledge of her parents.

If there was some medially serious reason for this exam, the pictures and videos could be for some serious reason, but obviously the staff was careless with the handlings of the material. But pictures and videos are actually taken during this type of exams of children for further diagnosis and study.

The licking and sniffing could be a misinterpretation of something medically serious caused by the anesthesia, but could be just for sexual gratification of this staff.

In either case, doing such exams without explanantions is wrong.

I got anesthesia gas to breath in through a mask. I got some numbing and lubricating cream injected into my urinary opening. The anesthesia made me relaxed, but I was conscious. I was mostly awake during the procedure, despite anesthesia given. I was very dizzy and couldn't focus on anything really just heard and saw people doing things and had some feelings

The doctor explored my anus with a finger. I remember quite a strong burning sore sensation lasting quite a while but couldn't really say or do anything.

COMMENTS
This seems to be an extention of the anual well-child physical that is typically done at age 11 for girls and at age 12 for boys. These extended exams have been mandatory for some time in certain communities. In some other communities it seems to be recommended to the parents. In this case it seems to have been recommended and some of the parents opted for it. But these extended exams are neasrly never talked about in public media.

These exams is actually useful to detect fairly problems in the urinary system, genitals, digestive system, heart and lungs that can lead to symptoms and more serious problems later.

It is however a typical behavior of the health authorities not to tell the child what is to happen, and probably the parents did not get full information either, which is not good.

The girl probably got anesthesia with N2O-gas which gives relaxation, but let the kid stay awake. She possibly also got some anestetics into the blood vesels, possibly midazolam. A purpose of this anesthesia is to hinder memory, but this does not always work, at least not totally. This kind of secrecy is not a good thing.

Sometimes full general anesthesia is used during these exams, but this gives risks. The right ting to do is to give as little and simple anestesia as possible, just enough for the kid to feel comfortable, and without wiping out memory.

It seems like the electrodes on the chest was used to take EKG to check heart function, and also for monitoring during the exam.

Based on the answar they seem to have inspected all parts of her genitals, urethra and bladder. They possibly inspected all the way up to each kidney.

The catehter was probably inserted just after the urogenital exam.

Even though she do not record it very specifically, they also probably inspected her anus and lower colon with a flexibla sigmoidoscope. This was probably done after the urogenital exam when she lay on her side and she felt a burning sensation.

Girl, 11yo, North America, internal exams and pelvic exams to record bodily development

This is a report by a father about two exams her doughter went through in North America, 1980-1989, 11 year old and two years later, that was part of a clinical trial.

Rhe parents drove her to the exam at a regular hospital. We had had a routine check up and was given a leaflet about clinical trail looking for healthful volunteer females of a certain age to document changes over time in normal healthy girls.

Overview of the ordeal:

She had a pretty regular check at first in a standard exam room: Height, weight, blood pressure, blood tests etc.
She was then taken through into a small room where she was put
To sleep.
After that she was taken into another room and positioned into stirrups.
The nurses then slide her across onto a theatre style bed and she was positioned and secured into stirrups.

Preparations:

She was not allowed to eat some time before the exam. She got laxatives at home to clean out her stomach the day before the exam. She was given a gown but was naked under the gown in the time she stayed awake.

They placed her upon a simple examination table. They placed her upon something like a dentist's chair, but with devices to lift her legs onto. She was placed to lay on back with legs flexed up, spread and mounted upon two devices.

She got IVs, tubes into blood vessels, in an arm, got a device on a finger or a toe to measure pulse and oxygen in blood, got a blood pressure monitor wrapped around an arm or a leg.

She got anesthesia through tubes into blood vessels, and got anesthesia gas to breath in through a mask. She got some numbing and lubricating cream injected into her urinary opening. She was put completely to sleep.

External examinations:

They took chest x-ray pictures, stomach x-ray pictures. They examined her genitals with an ultrasound device.
They took measurement of external genitals Labia, hood distance between anus and vagina.

Examinations through body openings:

They took specimens from her throut with a tube. They inspected the inside of her urethra and bladder with a scope. They took specimens from her urethra with a tube. They took specimens from her bladder with a tube. They took specimens from her vagina with a tube.

They took specimens from her anus with a tube. They inspected her through her anus with a rigid scope. The doctor explored her vagina with a finger. The doctor explored her anus with a finger. Mostly I recall them taking lots of swabs from orifices as study was about micro bacteria etc of healthy girls. To see what is normal I guess.

She had a tube going in through her anus. She just lay some time in a bed to recover. I had her underwear on after the exam. Not really we went back about two years later when she had first period as per instruction and the tests were all repeated to assess normal changes. After she came round nurse removed the cannula in arm listened to chest and then, let us go home.

THE SCHOOL SHE ATTENDED:

She attended ordinary daytime school.

COMMENTS

This seems to be a type of standardized exam for detailled recording of body development and health satus of children and teens. The standard seems to have been established in the 1950es, and essentially the same standard is used today, but updated as the technical development has proceeded. The procedure seemed to have been used for research and for examination of children with health problems originally, but it seems to be steadily more used as amandatory or recommended well-child procedures in certain communities at certain ages. These ages are typically 6-7, 11-12 and 14-15. The procedure is essentially the same for girls and boys.

As recorded here the exam consists of specific stages:

- Preparation with laxatives and other means at home.

- A simple ititial procedure consisting of measurement of vital signs and body paramenetrs.

. Induction of anesthesia, often in a special room. The type of anesthesia vary greatly from mild sedatives to deep sedation and even general anesthesia. In this account it looks like deep sedation with means of intravenous medication and gas (probably nitrous oxyde) seems to have been used.

- The kid is placed in a contraption with legs in stirrups and also easy access to the oral cavity and mouth. Here specimens of secretions and microbes are taken from all body openings. Cleaning procedures for body cavities, lubrication og bpdy openings, and local anesthetics to prepare for endoscopic inspections are performed.

- The kid remains in the same contraption or is lifted onto a surgical table, here also with legs in stirrups. X-ray pictures of certain body parts, ultrasound imgaging of most body parts and endoscopic exam through urethra, anus and vagina is done. In the later years endoscopic exam through the mouth down to the sstomach has been more common too. Examination with endosocpe through an opening made in the navel or just beneath is also sometimes reported.

- After the exam the kid will typically lay to recover some time with an IV, monitoring equipment, cathter and often a tube going in through the anus. It seems to be steadily more common to let the kid lay over night to recover. Here no catheter is mentioned, but she probably had it during recovery.

The tube through her anus is mentioned as in most reports. It might have several purposes. One is collection of digestive secrets for analysis. The tube might record bowel movements. It might provide that the colon is empty for air, rests of contrast fluid or other contents before going home.

In this case it seems like the parents were allowed to watch the exam or they were asked to participate in order to answars questions about the doughter that might arise during the exam. Cooperation by parents were fairly common at that period. Now doctors and all authorities are more distrustfyl against the parents and generally do not want parents to watch during more extensive examination of their kids.

Girl, 11yo, taken from school class to explore vagina and anus, possibly to collect evidence of sexual abuse

I am female. It happened in Western Europe, 1990-1999, 11 year old. Just told to me by the teacher. We went In a bus in group from our school. At the regular nurses or medical room at the school. Kids were randomly picked up at some place and led to the exam.

Preparation:
I got a traditional enema before the exam to clean out my stomach. I was given a gown but was naked under the gown in the time I stayed awake. They placed me upon a simple examination table. I was placed to lay on my back with steight legs. I did not get any anesthesia.

Exam procedure:
The doctor explored my vagina with a finger. The doctor explored my anus with a finger.I lay naked under a blanket after the exam. I attended ordinary daytime school.

Comments:
It looks like this was a chekup to explore signs of sexual activities by the kids, and symptoms that could be interpreted as symptoms of sexual abuse by the parents. Health authorities use a silly hypotesis that one can detect former sexual abuse by pushing gently with a rounded object, for example a finger against the anus. If the anus then automatically relaxes so that the finger goes in, it is interpreted as sign of being sexually abused.

It is a little difficult to interprete how they were selected and led to the exam. But based on the standardized answars selected, it looks like some of the kids were selected for the exam for some reason, taken by a bus to another building some distance away also belonging to the school where the nurse's office were.

Girl, 11 yo, WE, western Europe, growth assesment, internal pelvic exam, and recording of body functions

I am female. It happened in Western Europe. 2000-2009. I was 11 year old. I don't know what information my parents had, I was just told that I had an appointment to a see new dr by my parents. My parents drove me to the exam at a regular hospital.

Kids seems to have been randomly selected at some place and called in to the exam. I just rememeber being in a waiting room with my mom and there were other parents and girls there varying ages.

Preparations before the exam:
I got a traditional enema before the exam to clean out my stomach. I was given a gown and kept underwear on in the time I stayed awake.

They placed me upon a simple examination table and later they placed me upon something like a dentist's chair, but with devices to lift my legs onto. I was placed to lay on my back with my legs flexed up, spread and mounted upon two devices. I was also placed to lay on my left side.

I got IVs, tubes into blood vessels, in an arm. I got a blood pressure monitor wrapped around an arm or a toe. I got electrodes on my cheast. I got a tube or wire in through my urethra. I got anesthesia through tubes into my blood vessels and got anesthesia gas to breath in through a mask.

I got lubricating and numbing cream into my vagina. The anesthesia only took away pain. The anesthesia made me relaxed, but I was conscious. I was later put completely to sleep.

I remember being asked to undress and mom, dr and a nurse was present. Before I got gown I was weighted and height taken, nurse took photo of me facing, standing to side and from behind and one next to the height chart. I got a pretty routine exam on exam bed then given gown and went to different waiting room and eventually another exam room with the chair with stirrups which I was helped into.

External tests
They performed an ECG, functional test of the heart function, with electrodes on my chest and other body areas. I cannot remember any other external procedures like those mentioned.

Internal inspections:
They inspected the inside of my urethra and bladder with a scope. They took specimens from my urethra with a tube. They used a speculum in my vagina. They took specimens from my vagina with a tube. The doctor explored my vagina with a finger. They inspected my vagina with a scope.

They took specimens from my anus with a tube. They inspected me through my anus with an ultrasound probe. The doctor explored my anus with a finger.

I know they took swabs from vagina, urethra and anus and was catheterised.

Arrangements after the exam:
like it wasn't painful but felt like lot of pressure, close to painful. I had IVs into blood vessels. I had catheter into my bladder. I got given like a massive pad to put in my underwear and that was it really, and mom took me home.

The school she attended:
I attended private boarding school, just a pretty standard school I think"

COMMENT:
It looks like this society was performing a functional, bacteriological and development study of kids in various ages. Probably also boys were called in, but at different days.

She was relaxed, but awake much of the exam, but she also told that she eventually was put fully to sleep. Most probably they performed a full flush of her bowel content and a full colonoscopy when she was under full anesthesia.

These kind of study seem to have been going on with boys and girls several decades in the countries with a thight political connection with USA and UK.
