I am in Newbie Dorm or Mad Menaces.

Abbot/Abbess Pudding:
4 slices of bread
300ml milk
2 eggs,seperated
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
1 tablespoon caster sugar
3 tablespoons jam (any sort)
2 TABLESPOONS EXTRA CASTER SUGAR

Remove crusts from bread and discard;cut bread into small cubes. Heat milk and beat with the egg yolks. Mix bread cubes, vanilla essence and sugar and sugar with the custard and pour the mixture into a lightly greased ovenproof dish;stand in a baking dish of water.Bake in a moderate oven for 45 minutes. Spread the jam on the pudding and top with meringue made by whisking the egg whites until stiff and folding in the extra caster sugar.Return to moderate oven for 15 minutes until meringue is slightly brown and crisp.~THIS SERVES 4 BEASTS,OR 1 IF THERE IS A HARE AT THE TABLE~
