After listening to a few cuts from speeches being given by 'minority' republican women today it is quite clear to me that this choice may be far more clever and deceitful than we thought.

Why was Sarah Palin picked, Sparky? Because of her brains or her stellar career in politics of the flyblown howling wilderness variety? Because she'd cream off disgruntled Hilary Clinton adherents? Because she's a pro lifer with a retarded kid? Because her daughter's an easy lay? Of course not. None of these reasons means anything at all.

Sarah Palin was picked for this position by the Republican machine because she is a perfect target for dumping on and beating up in the press.

She is, in short, the perfect victim.

They're already calling it "the angry left" of media, bloggers, tv reporters and their sycophants. They're waving the bloody shirt, as it were.

The best thing to do with Sarah Palin is to proceed as if she did not exist.
