Nixon was one of the candidates who won the popular vote but lost the electoral vote. another footnote in political history that means nothing really in a Democratic Republic where it is NOT a true democracy which would mean a popularity contest just like selecting the high school class president ( I'm gonna vote for him/her because he/she looks best, has a funny personality, likes to have a good time, etc etc ...

Got my Steamboat Willie T shirt. If I wore it to the voting place would they ask me to remove it I wonder ?
Had a voting pin on once for a candidate who was long dead that had been elected many time and they said I had to remove it.... hey it was on the jacket I wore that day as was the five rear old american flag pin I had not removed either.

Footnote :

Early voting in the storm affected areas at most county board of elections offices this time around and Jersey all locations will be open even if they have to do paper ballots ( who has gas to drive to the county seat just to vote early anyhow ? ) .

State election laws could mean it might be weeks before we know who wins this time around once again.... and that is if there are no lawsuits which I bet there will be.

Ain't Politics Grand !!!
