Sad to hear he passed away , he was a very nice guy and something of a dynamo when I knew him back in the day. can't even imagine him passing.

Greg was in Paradise Lodge when I came to FC in the front room on the right when you looked at the front entrance. He was very much into sound at the time and built the first of the Lafayette stereos at Fc made from a kit unless Howie built the first one. He used to buy new records usually albums and play them once then make a reel to reel copy so the sound quality would not degrade.
He was close freinds with Mickey Karger and John Kindervater and could often be found in their room at Dow when he was not at his own room or at the main building. If you remember Mickey and John this was during their DaDa-ist period when they pretty much trashed the room with acumulated junk and did some of the ion experiments using electronics. Flip Miller was often there as well and developed the Dymaxion Pipe from this, and so was I often in conversation with John who was into all sorts of occult things and came from pennsylvania.
Greg moved to St J not long after that and began Troll press. The first camera we had in the print shop came from him when he upgraded to something larger. that camera had issues with the outer edges of the image and he was trying to break into the market for posting signs but ran afoul of the size requirements which eliminated smaller presses and kept the market for the letterpress shops.
I worked for him after leaving FC for a while running presses and doing other things you do in a shop and we used to go to the pub next door for lunch and play space invaders on one of those table games or darts usually 301.

Last time I saw Greg was when I went to his cabin up north of St J. It had no insulation or running water but when you started up the station heater it warmed up in no time and stayed warm as toast even overnight in the coldest weather.
I believe one of his brothers was in the band of Hair and also connected to the Lorne Michaels Saturday Night crew as was one of his partners in Troll Press ( under the Portland Street Bridge )named Gracie ( Grace DiNapoli.

I have a flyer from one of the Troll Press gatherings which were held annually for a while up near where his cabin was located and it was on Morgans Photo Site. These were much like the pig roast at McKenzies ( Franconia Inn ) with live bands and entertainment and lots of good food.

It was a good crew and we often went for walks down near the railroad tracks during lunch break , a nice way to get the stress of work out of the system before tackling the rest of the day. Greg still had that stereo in the shop when I worked there and there was always good music playing which also kept people in the right frame of mind.

Sorry to hear he is gone.
