Jane,

Trying to remember you and Brian but things are a bit fuzzy after so much time.

I do remember trying to go to a party at a cabin off the coppermine trail and gettig too far up the trail past where it was then getting my VW stuck so it needed to be towed with a flat tire the next day.
Bridalveil falls on the first scenic river designated as such in NH at least by the Federal govt.

We lost Moose not that long back but he was an FC institution and loved by many of us over the years. I remember when he was addicted to Zenobias and the red finger period. Used to play poker with Moose, Batir Ymanov , Eddie DeFiore ( now all gone unfortuneately ) , and Tick Ward on occasion I think who were all from Dow.
I did on occasion go out to Copper Cannon where I knew some of the residents. Harry Snyder who was also from maine used to drop in here but has been absent for some time, ran the dishroom for a while and was part time maintainance with Jake aldrich for a while .
I came in fall 67 and went through both lower and upper division , worked for the college running the printshop after Bill Houle left for a while, was first in Paradise where I eventually became RA and last lived in Bethlehem.
Good friends with Fran DeChame who was the piper and was first in Dow then away for a semester or so taking courses in Maine before returning to graduate in 73.

At one time I was roiomates with Sol ( Solmo Schrem from Rio where his family lived on the main ocean side street across from the ocean. A good guy who just got too emotionally involved at the end and left suddenly.
We shared one of the cabins in the center of town which was at the same time as the Beatles Abby Road album broke , he played it almost incessantly maybe because it reminded him of Rio so much when the song Here comes the sun was playing.
Sol and I drove to montreal for a sound and light show once and were stopped on the NY thruoghway adirondack extension when he was speeding ( I had an eyepatch on at the time from getting grit into my eye while giving a tour at Ft Ticonderoga so could not drive with only one eye ) and when he handed his international drivers license to the statey they poor fellow did not know what to do with it sine it had every south and central american as well as euro translation before getting to the english version ) Sol used to get his clothing and shoes made by hand down in Brazil where it was really inexpensive and always was dressed to the nines in what would today be called designer fashion ( he designed his own clothing by the way ) . I think that between the cold weather and people not being as open and touchy feely as back home in Brazil he was often rather lonely even in a crowd... Great guy really concerned , much like Moose who was always going out of his way for others.

So enough reminiscence for now , how about last names for those of us who don't immediately flash on Brian & Jane which does seem to be familliar in some way to me just not a real connection.
