Yes the Grand Canyon is truely stunning.
Some day I hope to get down into it instead of just seeing the big ditch from the upper level. It should be an entirely different experience from that angle.

The Dakotas and Montana would also be nice to spend some time in. Of course North Dakota is the butt of so many jokes by it's neighbors that it really doesn't deserve as the badlands at least are stunning as well.

Friend of mine who spent time in a monestary called Blue Cloud BBy came from up that way . One of the jokes was Custer at the little Big Horn , good news and bad news.

Bad News Genl Custer ( his troops still called him by his civil war rank ) is that we are surrounded by fifteen thousand Indians and we are all going to die.

The good news is we don't have to go back to North Dakota again.

See if you can deduct the costs or part of it as a buisiness educational expense, might work , you never know.
When dad was asking wht the IRS would accept from the cost of that trip the IRS person said try deducting it all . The worst ( he said ) that could happen was they would reject it all , the best that they woould accept it all ( they did the latter ) Dad was only thinking of what percentage of costs was deductable like fuel and lodging, auto mileage, and other things that you would deduct for a buisiness trip.
