We have done the southern route and the mid-section trek. We found the desert visually stunning and was awed by the Grand Canyon (although it is two hours there and two hours back from any road along anyone's trip) This time we are trying to see the states we have missed (the Dakotas and Montana). We are stopping at the Gutherie Theater in Minnesota and Steppenwolf Theater in Chicago, then a couple of Broadway shows before we return home penniless.
