Perhaps it was Eliot Coleman? Although he would have been older.
I can't recall his name, but I also remember someone in that year range who bought a lot he wanted to build on towards Lincoln. He was a racer who said he tried out for the US Ski team and told me how he did Cannon on acid. Colin maybe?
