Yeah that winter noreaster snow storm always catches the more southerly states unawares.
I really doubt that the commonwealth has what we who spent time in the north would consider an effective plan to deal with really deep snowstorms or if they do they probably have it sitting on a shelf behind the marshmallow fluff like someones mind as Moose used to say.

Jersey got caught once a while back having decided not to spend the money for the salt and sand for road maintanence so they used up a whole seasons supply on the first storm that year then had to get in line to get more from the suppliers.

My sister is in Avon by the sea and they got at least two foot of snow from this l;ast storm and had not made arrangements with anyone to come shovel them out. Both she and my brother in law have back problems at the present but had to dig to the garage at the back alley then clear the area by the overhead door just to be able to get out for food. That took a day being careful so they didn't get injured. Bet they made arangements for someone for the next storm.

I got lucky with a neighbor clearing tha part by the street with his new snowblower. I only had to dig out the car and the close part of the driveway ... of course we only had a foot or so of light fluffy not two foot of heavy stuff.

Makes me think seriously about maybe moving down by my oldest cousin who has been in FLA since the fifties except for when he was in the Navy....

The rain came here as well but most of the snow was already gone by then. We did get flod warnings of course but no that bad in this area since we were on the upper edge of the storm when it came through here not hammered like yopu were or the people down the shore.
