I voted for Senator Grassley the last time he ran because he's a genuinely good guy who has done a lot for people around here, and he has a good working relationship with Tom Harkin, who I've also voted for. I've got no grievance against moderate Republicans and they're to be encouraged to take back their party from the Julius Streichers of talk radio and the Joe Vogler army from nowhere.

I had an interesting conversation with Maggie Tinsman, a moderate Republican state senator who explained why she couldn't hire me as an aide-she was afraid of her party.

That's sad, really.
