Subject: What's Wrong With General Motors is management's fault

I agree

The standard Business / National Socialist propaganda line is that the US car industry problems are all the fault of the damn greedy workers. That line is, of course, a palpable, demonstrable lie, but as a lie that is repeated over and over it becomes 'common knowledge' (and parroted by the clueless as wisdom).

The fact is that GM's pension plan would have paid for itself IF GM had not short changed their contributions for years, while they still were making money.

The fact is that, as that notorious Red Rag, the Wall Street Journal reported a couple years ago, the cost of MANAGEMENT compensation is far higher than any employee related costs. But I suppose that these facts are inconvenient, and can be ignored.

The fact is that for years GM and the other companies built unreliable shit buckets one would have to be more than a little stupid to buy. That cannot be turned around overnight, and can never be turned around by the bozos that run the US car industry.

Employee compensation is NOT a gift, or something the workers STOLE. I suppose this dawg chap feel he can stroll down to the grocery store, load up a cart, and tell the cashier that he doesn't have to pay for anything because he spent all his money on a yacht and he is too important to the US economy.

It IS true that we want a domestic auto industry, for all the reasons foreign owned industries are problematic. But this does NOT mean we need to take ANY OLD PIECE OF SHIT auto industry just 'cuz it is there.
