It will do extremely well to get named in the final group. I haven't seen it yet, but I think its length may count against it - it's at least 3hrs long, I think? Obviously, having Goran's name attached to it will help in Hollywood, but I wonder how many of the Academy voters will actually watch the thing all the way through. (I'm assuming that the foreign film is voted for in the same way as the other categories - but I may be wrong here.) Zhang Yimou's "House of Flying Daggers" will probably do well (he also directed "Red Sorghum" & "Raise the Red Lantern").
