Then there's Jack, the guy deceides to change venue, to go race without having to be involved with the politics of running a track, not involved with Airport any more and still gets hit.
If you want a place to race, get up,get out and help. I agree that Airport is a high quality place and it would be a shame to lose it. Don't wait for people to ask for help, call them and ask "What can I do to help". As was said it takes people to make it work. You can either be a solution to the problem or you can be the problem. Which do you want to be?
