Subject: rules changes

Ok let me try to explain something. I called Dwight to ASK him what he thought about making it 50 inches. AS A BUSINESS DECISION. Port City,I-44 and I think Will Rogers have ALL gone to 50 inch rules because of the new wide body cars. If you have people from out of town come to race and they dont know that we are 48 inches they will be very upset for not being able to race. (and not everyone reads the rules before they leave) and even if it is their own fault for not reading rules we will STILL look like the bad guys. All we did was call and try to get feedback. We both knew that if we changed this that it would not look good at all. So therefore, we did not pursue this issue. I have the luxury of being able to change it with out anyones approval.(as far as Liberal goes) But I said from the begining that this only works if Liberal and Garden is on the same page. So I guess what I am saying, is if you hear a rumor, call. All anyone would have to do is call Dwight,Jack or myself and it would have been told that it was discussed for about five minutes and dropped. And this would not have caused an uproar.
This is my fault for even asking, but I totally forgot about it at the last meeting and I apologize for that. But dang guys it doesn't mean that everyone needs to freak out. Take a chill pill, get the FACTS before you post something on here. WE ARE ALL ON THE SAME TEAM!!!!! This is called communication. It doesn't do anyone any good unless they go directly to the source.
Just remember, like Danny said this is supposed to be fun. No one is going to get rich from racing. At least not micros. Just relax, have fun, do your best, and see what the season brings. Try to remember there are alot of people donating their time and hard earned money so that we have a place to race. And when you put all that time and money into it all you want is to be appreciated. No complaints, Just go with the flow and make the best out of it. I love racing and love to race. I am not doing that this year so that I can better serve the series. I don't want or need a thatta boy. Just everyone get along, Communicate, and have fun.
I have been involved with boards my whole life, and I have to say that Dwight,and Jack are doing one of the best jobs I have ever seen as far as Vice pres, and Pres. Just remember, this is a voluntary position. They have nothing but the best intrest of the club, and the racers involved.
I am not trying to make anyone mad, and I hope that this doesn't. Let's just relax,and have fun.
