while fans clammer unsuccessfully to save what is left of the buffyverse, Angel, nasty things are being said about people from Buffy who can not appear on the last couple of episodes.
So clearing it up simply, Sarah Ally, and Michelle have simply done what every other actor/actress does after their series ends and that is gone to work in other areas.
They were all working on other projects that they previously made comitments to before they knew the fate of Angel...episode 21 which was to be Sarah's episode wasn't writen int ime for them to shoot it after ep 22 which disabled her from appearing as she would have liked too and the same safe assumption can be made to the other two actresses that are getting flack for not appearing.
I'm well aware that fans believe, as do the actresses, some importance and loyalty should be given to the series which skyrocketed their careers but honestly, it wouldn't've looked good for them either to bail on other projects to make a 5-10 minute appearance on a show that's on its way out...sad but fact.
Though the WB has approached Wheden on a couple of Angel movies for next year, truthfully, insiders are hoping Buffy gets the movie instead because it was Buffy who started it all, it was Buffy fans who helped keep Angel alive one more year because of their unwillingness to give up the buffyverse though the "save angel" fans may in fact get Angel a movie, everyone knows its "Buffy" who can rake in the bucks and that includes Joss which is why he chose to not have Sarah appear in episode 22, he didn't want her to overshadow Angel it being his show.
Also, spin-offs of say Faith or maybe two witches are really what the networks were hoping for and got neither.
So lets all be glad for the fine years the buffyverse gave us, give it a good send off while we hope for a new birth of it in some form but don't bash the buffster, she only continued working as any other person would do.
