Recovery is going pretty well, considering. But I still can't drive owing to skewed eyeball on left, and still a bunch of nerve issues, etc. and some very deep bruises. But I went to the doctor and my broken collarbone is on the mend, some new bone forming, and my broken neck (two vertebrae and 6+ weeks in a brace!) has healed as well, though I'm now going to need a half lifetime of physical therapy before I can rotate my neck again. Still, all in all, probably ahead of schedule in general, and feeling fairly fit. Amazingly, though I was tumbled and thrown all over the place and got road rash down to the bone, I did not break anything else.

By the way, ambiguous first post: this was a bicycle, not a motorcycle, accident. A car decided to pass me at an intersection just as I was making (and signalling) a left turn. I lost consciousness for a bit over a half hour, don't remember accident itself, but apparently took quite a tumble. I was wearing a helmet, which is probably why I'm still alive. My name was on the helmet and bike, and rescue squad called my wife, who was there at emergency room about the time I woke up.

Long, expensive and strange summer this year.
