Janet�s desire to maintain �quality of life� places a huge burden on her family, physician and friends to monitor her perceptions. Janet�s family must help her keep a positive attitude over the course of her illness. If her attitude begins to slip, the likelihood of her committing suicide will increase. If Janet feels that her life is becoming too much for her to handle, she will not want to continue. Her doctor must be very cautious in his or her phrasing of each report in order to prevent exaggeration. If her physician were to over-emphasize her deterioration, Janet may end her life in order to prevent losing a quality life. Janet�s friends must provide constant support and love for her. Her friends, along with her family, must remind Janet how much she means to them and how much they love her. If she sees how much she will be missed, Janet may reconsider her suicidal thoughts.
