This kind of thing is really why I don't end up liking a lot of TV and comic books. Instead of moving characters and relationships forward, writers just continually revisit the same tired ground over and over and over. Instead of writing something new, new writers come onto series and just try to rewrite their favorite episodes/issues/plots with their own little twist...and the little twist is rarely enough to make it interesting.

Did I love Buffy Season 3? Sure! The first time, it was great. But Season 7 made it clear that Buffy and Faith and moved forward in their relationship, as much as Faith's appearances in Angel made it clear she'd moved her character forward. This ridiculous regression of Faith's character back to "I hat e Buffy Mode" and Buffy back to "Faith you're a killer" mode, is just representative of a fanboy playing with the characters rather than someone actually trying to write a decent story.

Sorry, but all these last couple of issues have been for me are bad fanfic...nicely illustrated bad fanfic, but bad fanfic all the same.
