Yeah the Shield has entertained on occasion but I've struggled returning to that fold.

Now really the thought was to encompass the culture and various genres of art as a whole.

I do agree that art explores the human condition and can bring us a better understanding of it but how much art comes from joy or from the moments of happiness experienced in ones life. Is most art a cry from the darkness where the artist just hopes to hear an echoe from the participant? An expression fermented then tossed about so others might glean their impression. Art culture and society may be missing something when its music and tv and paintings represent only geometric form and "great injustice". For years I have drawn from the void in my belly to create things that didn't exist before - new poetry - new music - but those roots of greatest passion and sometimes the greatest art never seem to be planted in the positive. Yes - need produces want produces desire - and so the problem bleeds upon the page and this can lead to wonderful things - self actualization, group understanding and social change but that seems to be it. I see art - shapes made of metal would and clay - and its a mess. Paper clips stood end to end - that kind of crap. What can be derived from this but to stunt the participant into thinking about really nothing. Some art that does make you think seems more derived for shock value. Sometimes I find just winning , in the end, is quite satisfying. No I didn't gain utopia or some more perfect place I just was satisfied. Like Buffys smile at the end of the last ep, yes it could've ended badly, and more people could have lost not only their lives but their dignity (AKA willow and the not going to jail for warren - this just should've happened - her ark ended much to well for the blackness into which she fell) but this didn't happen and the world was better for it.

Hmm I don't know - theres an idea here - a creative process unexplored that I am trying to wrap my head around and I am doing it probably in the wrong place - sorry for that.

And yes Sunshine - many thanks again for your input which is, at least, always thoughtful.
