Subject: What Illyria said about Nightmares

This has probably been discussed before but I was wondering if there was a link between what Illyria said about nightmares and what happened to Billy in the Buffy episode 'Nightmares'

This world used to be a demon realm so one assumes that mystical energy was more prevalent due to the primeval forces. This was probably the time Illyria was talking about when she said that nightmares walked the world laying fears out for all to see.

Maybe the Primeval force of the hellmouth allowed Nightmares to cross over to the real world, escaping human minds, using Billy's intense fear as a conduit.

Anyone else got any ideas?
