Sorry you aren't able to catch all the dialogue, Meritaten, because it's some of Joss' finest. So, here's a (very rough) transcript from memory of most of Book's dialogue from that scene. I think Mal calls for the doctor too many times in this version, but it's what I remember. And the last few lines are very exact, in my reckoning.

Mal: "Don't move."

Book: "I'm not going anywhere."

Mal: "Shouldn't've been you. He should have come after me, not you."

Book: "That crossed my mind."

Book (looks off-screen): "I shot him down. Killed the ship that killed us."

Mal: "That you did."

Book: "Not very Christian of me."

Mal: "You did the right thing."

Book: "Coming from you... that means... almost nothing."

Mal calls for doctor again.

Book: "I'm long gone."

Mal: "Doc'll fix you up. I expect to be bored by many more of your sermons."

Book: "Why do you care? I'm not one of your ccrew."

Mal: (Takes his hand firmly.) "Yes you are."

Book: (leans back) "River."

Mal (calls for doctor again)

Book (seizes Mal's head in his hands) "I don't care *what* you believe in. Just *believe* in whatever--"

Book passes away.
