Name: Ming of Cinaed
Age: 18
Ming is a young centaur whose horse parts are a dark golden brown with black stockings and a black tail. Her human half has tan skin, dark brown hair with highlights, and dark brown eyes. She has a dark blue tattoo of a Celtic knot and an oriental symbol on her right shoulder blade. She prefers to wear a plain leather shirt and usually has feathers or beads braided into her hair. However, her father almost always makes her wear something more becoming of an ambassador’s daughter.
To all appearances, not including her horse half, Ming appears no different than any other young girl raised at court. She is polite and diplomatic and laughs daintily at all the appropriate times. However, to those who know her well, Ming is actually quite the candid and energetic character. As far as her father knows, Ming is exactly as she appears; a sweet little lady…little does he know of her occasional adventures in the city outside the palace. Sometimes Ming is torn between obeying her father and having a little fun, but the latter usually wins out.
She is not fond of knights (she calls them “moving targets” because their armor is so shiny), cats (they make her sneeze and they’re a small target to kick), or snow.
Ming and her father originate from the extensive Blair Plains in the neighboring country Dildgen. Ming’s father is a representative for the centaurs of Pliartha and Dildgen as well as an ambassador of Dildgen. They live in permanent residence at the palace, in a specially designed suite that suits their…particular anatomy (being half-horse that is). They can roam other parts of the palace as they please, but not all staircases and hallways were designed with centaurs in mind.
Ming’s father is quite a refined diplomat and loves her dearly. (Her mother died when she was three, which was when she and her father left for Pliartha.) However, he is very caught up in other matters most of the time and often Ming won’t see him for days at a time, in which case she is looked after by Keya, part of the palace staff.
(Anyone is welcome to take the character of Ming’s father or Keya.)
