as for marking for the "yanks", i will fully admit that yes my favorite wrestler in the entire world is american (from Yonkers, New York exactly). however, i also admit that while today's style of wrestling is adopted from old school ecw and soap operas, ecw stole a lot of their shit from japan and mexico.

i am a fan of japanese wrestling, in particular i very much enjoy watching hayabusa, ohtani, and misawa. i never was a big muta fan, except in his early 90s wcw sting feud (i was a big sting fan back then), but i always thought that he was a decent to good worker. when he came back and teamed with vampiro, he was absolutely horrid. it was the same thing when liger came back as a fat old man and wrestled juvi.

i give as much respect to japanese wrestling as i do to anything, and i have seen my fair share of it. the point was made that muta's american work rate (the stuff we get to watch on tv instead of paying $25+ a tape for) over the past few years has been less than impressive. it is true. just because you saw muta do some good stuff this year addn we didn't doesn't make you all high and mighty. it just means we spent our money a little differently than you.

and you don't need to be from japan to be good. i rather enjoy the work of jeremiah ross and chris daniels.

liger v pillman superbrawl II for life!
