A little "bling" went off in Redd's mind, the same blind she always gets when Virgil is in trouble. Rolling her eyes and giving a hasty apology to Sang, she phased out and reappeared next to Virgil, hands on her hips, eyes flashing with barely-controlled blood-rage.
"Why can't you keep yourself out of trouble long enough for me to have a simple conversation? Did she hurt you? I swear to the f'ing Gods above that if she hurt you, she won't live for another two seconds.."
Meanwhile, shaking hands were running over his body, looking for any wounds, rage giving way to worry. They slid around to rest together at his back while she pressed her body close to his in a hug, laying her head on his shoulder.
"God, Virgil, be more careful about who you piss off, okay?..you're gonna hafta take care of two people now, remember that..."
Her swollen belly bumped his thin one in reminder--she looked up and smiled. All the while her mind was locked onto Solace's, making sure that if the girl got anywhere near her and her little boy (no, not the baby XD), she'd know way in advance and have a little surprise going her way...the same telekinetic power that blew up all those mechas, just waiting to pounce...
