 "You like 'em, lil' girl?" "Cap'n Shaw" smiled at Lyn, revealing his few remaining teeth. The overweight man wakled up as Virgil began to shiver and stir, looking down at them.

"We "borrowed" those shadow thingies from an Imperium R&D base..not like they'll be needin' em anymore after what we did to 'em, right boys?" A few of the pirates laughed at this. "Drove our profit margins up 800%. NOBODY gets away form these things..'cept for that one you an' yer buddies killed back on the ship. We would've made the haul of a lifetime if you hadn't interfered. Been wanting to catch some of you all ever since..."

Suddenly the Cap'n started to float into the air and move backwards...but suddenly stopped as Virgil began to convulse and twitch, screaming as electricity form the collar around his neck shooting through him. But since they wer lying in a puddle of water, the shock caught Lyn as well.

"Nice try, boy...but as you can see, yer' not going anywhere till WE decide you are. Follow our orders exactly and ye'll be fine. Disobey...or try to tamper with the collars..."

He then sent another massive shock through both collars, this one lasting for almost a full minute. Virgil was blinking back tears and biting his lower lip to keep from crying by the time it finally stopped.

"Just proving my point...we OWN you now..." Then the Cap'n pointed to the slaves. Take these two below...and take care of em. We've got a "special" job comin' up for 'em."
