It is a can of worms. But even if one gene can be identified, it would be a big help.

But, one also has to think of the reprocissions. I think back about the gene ID'ed in the Human Genome Project. The one that has been attributed to some Breast Cancers in families with a high Breast Cancer history. Many women that have the gene had prophylactic mastectomies. The gene itself is not a definite, add in environment. And, this gene is not the ONLY thing that predisposes someone to breast cancer.
