CatB,

There is only one way to tell if a dog has hip dysplasia and that is with an x-ray. A vet can guess but cannot conclusively diagnose hip dysplasia without a picture of the joint. As for the exercise, that was what I had heard about the pup's first day. Since you have changed your story more than once already, who knows? Either way, the dog should have been given a few days to relax and unwind after such a long time in a crate.

I am happy that you lucked out and got a sound animal from JB. So now you know who to buy your next one from, right?

I am nobody's hanger on. In my experience, JB is right in there with the likes of Ellen Roberts of Shadow Wolf Ranch and Ron Swart of Tamron/R.I.K. There are people who were lucky to get dogs that were OK from these people, too. And there are many who have been taken to the cleaners by all three. As I've said before, I just wish THEY would get on the boards to tell of their experiences...but most would rather just put the bad experience out of their minds and not be bothered about warning others.

Seems you are new to this arena. You should have been around to see just how nasty Mr. Niceguy JB has been in the past to other breeders and posters. I can't hold a candle to him...even though you may think I am the worst thing that's ever happened to a message board.

Basic message from me is, if JB can't stand the heat, then he should stay on his own message board that he monitors and leave the other boards open for real exchanges of information. And he should stop bashing other breeders who ARE doing things right.

Best regards,
Terry Magee
