The truth will never been known because it is come down to my word against the established breeder. I expected a puppy similar to the first one I got from Blackwell. In my excitement about adding a new puppy to my family I disregarded the warnings from the current owner that the puppy was hocky and shy. I was completely shocked by the deformed back legs and timid temperment of this puppy, he was nothing like the female BB I have or the male BB that my good friend has.

The circumstance of his being the product of a test breeding was news to me after he was already here. I doubt that I would have ever found out that information unless I would have made my situation public. Its great that everyone else that has a puppy from the breeding is privy to this info, but I was not. I took the puppy to the vet, the vet prescribed medication and x-rays. I gave the puppy to Melinda's friend because she was taking the puppy to another friend of Melindas that was a vet and a specialist. The puppy was to get a complete exam and xrays, I was to be kept informed of the pups progress.

I had no ulterior motives. I just wanted another pet to play with and be a companion to myself and the other BB I have. I didn't know the circumstance about Nemo's breeding. I thought I found a great deal, a beautiful pup that needed a good home because he was not breeding quality and all I had to pay was the $400 shipping costs. It was a very emotional and distressing situation for me. Nemo is so sweet and gentle, yet he was not behaving like a healthy normal puppy. I wanted to do the right thing for him. When Melinda called and offered a specialists help at no charge I thought it was wonderful. I understand now why Melinda wanted to get the puppy away from me as quick as possible. Now she and her friends can make any claims they want about the condition or behavior of the dog. I didn't take pictures or x-rays, I didn't know what or who I was dealing with. I have no proof other than what I saw, what my vet said and what other people here saw when they saw Nemo. Nemo is a sweet, timid, and beautiful puppy, but he is not a healthy normal BB.
