I have a female here that I call Daisy. She is coming 6.She is off Pepper Shaker and Water's Blk. Prancer. That puts Hawk in 2x in 3 generations. I bred Pepper Shaker to Plum Creek Rufus. Rufus was Blk. Prancer x Cox's Nellie. A female from this cross. Annie Oakley was bred to E-beau. 1/2 brother to 1/2 sister through Pepper Shaker. Archie Rardon has Tar from that cross. A female called Pepper Ann is in Michigan. 1 pup died and I have lost track of the last. She raised 4. I have a coming 3 year old female I raised and sent to Dave Bray. Fern she is called. She is by Jet and Pepper Shaker. Jet was a grand pup of Hawk on Blk Prancer Jet's dad's side. Pepper was a grand pup of Hawk. Dave Bray bred fern to his Buck dog and those pups are here now with Fern and are just past 6 weeks old. Buck is by Bray's Smoke. He goes back to Hawk twice thru Rimbey's Bob and She So Sweet Lizze. This was a 1/2 broter to a 1/2 sister cross.Buck's mammy was Water's Sugar a full sister to my Pepper Shaker.
If I researched this right the Fern x Buck pups carry Hawk 5 times in 5 generations. I believe at this time it would be tough to get much more any closer than this. A lot of my dogs go back to Spuds and Blackie. Bob Waters was kind enough to let me have Blackie at 11 and I was fortunate to raise 3 litters from him. Blackie was a coon dog. He could run a cold track better than the coldest nosed hounds I ever hunted with. He did not bobble or loose a track he opened on. He was an all night tree dog. He was not a flashy blow the top out kind of tree dog. He was straight. He was not a layup dog. He was a pleasure around the house and a big baby with children or the wife. Drop the tail gate and he was all business. Thanks Perry
