Apparently some of you are still under the false assumption that the association has control of the registry office. It does not. The survey was our attempt to determine how the majority of people feel about the isuues we put in it. We will try to follow majority opinion, but there is nothing that requireas us to.
The setting of the standards is under belongs to the registration office and not the association. That has been true since before Richard McDuffie left North Carolina, because, the registration office is an incorporated business. We asked for input and we paid for it. We will direct the registration office according to the input from the survey. I have wondered for some time how many of the members who cannot come to the annual meeting actually feel. Every member should have the same input. We did our best to do just that. A survey was sent to all members on the membership list just prior to the mailing. I know that we have gained some since then.
