This whole thing about Reese being blind because of a cyst and not because of smashing into glass is just like when Spike was deaf right after the accident with Greenlee, and it turned out he was deaf from some other medical reason and not from the accident. These plots to try and remove any guilt from the person responsible for an accident are ridiculous. It makes no medical sense that coincidentally a person could hear or see before an accident, and from some unrelated cause suddenly couldn't hear or see right after the accident. It's not that unusual for someone to get injured somehow, hurt afterward, get an x-ray, and find some underlying problem that was there all along and had not been noticed. But to not notice that your child is completely deaf? And to have some cyst suddenly cause blindness right after having your eyes smash into glass? No sense there. They pulled this with Spike's hearing, and now it's Reese.
