Not sure if anyone reads this anymore. Just wanted to wish each and everyone of you Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. I had a rough 2013 for sure. We had a major flood and we lost our home. FEMA is helping and hopefully by next fall we will be in our new home. :)

How do you guys feel about paying to watch AMC and OLTL? I am too cheap to pay. I want my tv to be free. I already pay for cable, HD and DVR. I don't want to pay to watch on the computer. I went to Hulu and saw some previews. Looks like it takes place 5 years from where it left off.

I just wrote Lurt an email and told her that this weather does not seem normal to me I live in the out skirts of Chicago about 65 miles west and we've only had about 3 good snow days and its gone the next day. I htink its the OZONE issue.
As I grew up, I remeber that as kids, we couldnt wait until we had snow or the summer heat and now the snow and temperature is iffy and the heat to too hot and steammy to tolerate it. I enjoy going but i cant wait to get back home. We guys, it I only have three weeks to go before I pick up my new van. I am really blessed to get it , and its all wheelchair acessible with a lift and hand controls. My car died on October 15 and I have not driven since. It been hard totake the bus and depend on otners but I am grateful too . I would like to share pictures. I will get your mail address next week or so. take care

On the Young and the Restless, Jesse moved into Genoa City/ Mow there is Annie, Angela and now Jesse along with Billy and Cliff and I can remember the other persons AMC name. but it seems like I enjoy seeing old family members from Pine Valley, just good to see them

Am I in heaven?!? Did anyone read the Jan.9th copy of Woman's World? It says that AMC will be going on the online network THIS month! Has anyone heard anything about this lately? This is the first I've heard of any news like this actually happening in quite some time. It's only fair in view of the way they ended things to keep it going. I miss it a whole lot. Anybody out there?

Hello Lurt and everyone! I hope the holidays were kind to everyone. I still sometimes look at my clock and think oh, it's almost 1 - time for AMC.Old habits die hard. I don't care if they bring it back with only 3 of the originals - just bring it back! I am so happy to see Brot doing so well. He deserves it. What a lousy way for our soap to end. It really deserved a far better ending than that after all those years. I so wish they would put every episode out on DVD. I'd buy every one and bask in every moment all over again. There were many that I would love to see again.HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE AND I HOPE THAT WE MAY ALL MEET HERE AGAIN SOME TIME SOON TO TALK ABOUT THE "NEW" AMC THAT THEY SHOULD DECIDE TO DO.

As our Lord said at his crucifiction - IT IS DONE. I miss it already.I had heard how it would be picked up to be seen on the internet buthadn't heard anything since so thought it wasn't to be. Glad to see otherwise. AND - my daughter tells me we can hook the laptop up to the computer and get it to come out on the big screen!I definately didn't like the way they had JR acting towards Dixie - and everyone else but especially Dixie.Maybe he shot Angie if she isn't coming back. i would hate to lose her and Jesse. Anyone see the cast on the view? It was great.I was hoping Babe would come back but they left the identity of the other female patient a mystery.too. Did you notice David just happened to be at Adam's party so he can hopefuly bring back whoever was shot by JR? I also wonder if at the last minute JR decided to turn the gun on himself.I thought it would be a really bad ending in many ways with so many unanswered questions surrounding several characters if it was not going to continue in some way, shape or form.I was very happy Angie got to see the other side of David and he went out a semi-good guy. I like him.
Glad they brought Stuart back. Did not like the way things went down with Erica and Jack one bit.I wanted to slap her and you know how much I adore Erica!!!!Horrible ending. Please keep this going so we can keep updated as to any new developments about OUR show!!!!

I loved this past week with all the families getting together and all the cameos. My favorite was Sarah Michelle Gellar. "My mother is Erica Kane." "I see vampires." What a hoot! I was dissappointed in the final episode. I wanted a happy ending, not a cliffhanger. Who does David have locked away? I wish JR got on that plane and Erica and Jack got married. At least Randi might be pregnant. We've only waited YEARS for that to happen! I don't like what they did to Erica. She just didn't seem like herself. It seemed like she was Jane pretending to be Erica. Maybe Jane threw Erica down a well and Jane got shot. Who knows? I was hoping that when the Martins were all at Tad's house that Bobby would have come down the stairs with his skis. THAT would have been funny!

There are little things to say and looking at the activity of this board. We cant hardly talk to each other because there are no words to say to help ease the pain.

This is a very sad state of affairs with ending day time viewing. AMC has been an integral part of my life. I am over the big 50 and I have been watching for 40yr since day 1 in black and white 1/2 hr. my grandmother use to listen to the soaps on the radio and I remember sitting underneath the kitchen table hidding and listening way back then. this is one characteristic that I can remember that I took from my Grand.
Sugeries, and procedures have been built around AMC. REally pray for me guys, I really feel strange not having AMC to see every day and the lives of Pine Valley and belive me I HAVE A LIFE BUT THIS WAS MY GET AWAY FROM THE STRESS OF THE EVERYDAY B--- S--- that i have to deal with.

I knew she was pregnant a few comments down the line below and from what we have learned about DAvid (Dr. Delicious)he is grieving because he lost Leora and Anna and has envied others who had FAMILY. Other than Leo, he has always been alone. Cara could provide a new beginning for him because he has nothing. Not only because this man is HOTTER than boiling LAVE over a fire volcano (and I wish I could be with him-pant, pant, pant) but he is still hurting from emptyiness.

Love the guest shots with John Hurley. Surprised they never made HIM one of Erica's suitors! But really loved how they were walking down the walk of fame in Hollywood with all the stars and talking, and the shot cuts down to Erica's feet showing her on Susan Lucci's star!! Priceless!

Angie Angie Angie, she can really play the dramatic, I have loved her in everything she ha done since she was a teenager playing in Roots. I felt so bad for her when she gave the baby back to Myia because it was the right thing to do, The broken spirit in her facial expression said it all

OMG. Was that it??? Was Leo just a dream??? I actually got chills a couple of times from excitement during the show with the hair on my arms standing up(I guess it doesn't take much these days).

But at least Zach and Dixie are real!!

Holding out pretty good in the record-breaking 111-112 weather this week! Will probably have to take a second job to pay for nex month's electric bill!

WOW ! I'm so excited!!! Been trying to post for weeks but my password wasn't working.I was so excited when I realized that was Dixie Belle drawing a star! Praise God the story line is fantabulous!!!I really thought it would be too much to ask for to have Leo come back - but God is good!!!!Sorry Ryan,you and Greenlee belonged together only if there was no Leo. Nobody could beat that match except Jack and Erica(his faith in her is so touching to watch)and Tad and Dixie. Definately don't like Cara. More with each passing day.Maybe they will bring back the princess (countess? What the heck was her name???) for Ryan.The scene in the looney bin with all the nuts and Erica was priceless!Will they bring back Stuart???Palmer??? My daughter tells me I can still watch the new AMC on my TV after it goes off TV by hooking up my computer to it! I also heard all the same people will still be on it. It wouldn't be the same without Jack,Erica,Kendall,Ryan,Greenlee and Dixie and Tad.I know it's too much to ask for Josh to stick with it.Who else can David bring back from the dead????

Kudos to Josh Duhumel for coming back and making dreams come true to a lot of dedicated AMC fans!! Ya know, I met him and Cameron Mathison once at a signing in Dallas. Gave Josh a big hug. (SWOON)

Speaking of Dallas - have you heard - we are in a heat wave with 108-111 weather here, going on for weeks. That's not good when you add my hot flashes to it!

I guess they'll think Erica is really bonkers when she starts saying that Dixie is alive. Poor girl.

I was pre-empted by what was going to be Obama giving a speech, but then they went back to programming today for the last 5 minutes.

I've enjoyed seeing the flashbacks of Erica and Mona. Very nostalgic. Hope we get more of those kinds of things in the future as AMC winds down.

But then, I thought I heard something about AMC going to be on the internet? Did anyone else hear anything about that? If so, I wonder if it is just viewing old shows on the net, or if they are going to do new ones?

Went to PV Bulletin, and maybe all of you already know, but more oldies but goodies besides Maria and Leo -
Carol Burnett is returning to reprise her role of Verla Grubbs, and Lilly is returning. She'll definitely know that Erica is not Erica.

Also, Annie, Mario and Janet at Oakwood - will break out to return to loved ones - and that is where Dixie is being held - hidden. So the plot thickens....

I just love it when they add psychos to the mix on AMC!!

Best psychos in the past:

#1 would have to be Janet from another Planet.

Billy Clyde was sure a character.

And Ray Gardner was just plain evil.

Oh - and Ryan's little brother had a bit of a problem, but that was caused by a brain tumor.

And then there is Annie.

I was so mad watching that dammed the Daytime Emmy Awards show that it would have been better had I not watched it.

Why was Oprah given so much time and praise and AMC with 40 yrs of investment sparsely given any time for details?

Sure, they acknowledged Susan as they should and to make matters worst, they gave the young actress award to the old Marissa (can remember her name) who we (family on this board) definitely talked her off the cast line up because she was not fitting to the role.

I think it was a lots of stuff going on in the Corporate Office. I notice when Wayne Brady mentioned the end of AMC and the camera's showed the faces of the cast; there was no facial expressions shown.

NEXT, I have never been on the Oprah ban wagon because as an African American woman, I grew up knowing women like Oprah all of my life her personna was nothing new to me I highly respect her and her accommplishments BUT, AMC had contributed so much to the fans for generations and it was apparent that there were bad feelings.

I can at least say that over the years, Hellmuth looks a little better and Susans daugther really looks like her in the details of her face but bottom line is All, I WAS VERY DISAPPONTED AT THE AWARD SHOW!!!

I am getting a little sick and tired of the writers giving TAD storylines where he is not taken serious. The blue hair and not being taken serious by females. TAD is HOT very HOT, ask Lurt he is her MAN,
And TAD has women skills and has not been able to showcase those skills in over 20 yrs. ITs time, its time for them to allow him to bring the CAD back,

BRING back TADS CAD skills with being an expert on females and how to make them wild..... Cara would be a trainee if she encountered the "CAD".

I hope the writers may read this and start thinking of allowing TAD to reach back and use his CADALICIOUS skills for CARA and have her get competition from other females to see what kind of man she has

Over the years, Erica went from someone you love to hate to actually having a heart and being a "good guy" on the show, albeit a STRONG woman who won't put up with crap, and definitely a diva. But now for Susan Lucci to be playing a villian is almost just too good to be true!

And what a team with David! But I think he still does have a bit of a good side. He might use Jane to get what he wants, but don't you think he might still be trying to find Erica? To help her? (After he gets all he wants).

Well, I may just have to get on the Dixie bandwagon, ghost or no ghost, twin or no twin, however many times she has disappeared/been killed off/etc. I like seeing all the old clips of Tad and Dixie, but it is totally reminiscent of how they did Greenlee dreaming in her coma before she came to (and couldn't walk) when Dr. David hid her as his pet project.

BUT, -- and I say this all in CAPS. BUT - If anyone deserved happily ever after on this show, it is Tad. If we only have just a few months left with our AMC Family, why not go out with our fan fantasies and dreams fulfilled? Why shouldn't Dixie come back, they get back together and live happily ever after. If we could see them in 20 years, they'd be sitting on their porch, watching the sun set, drinking Lemonade and watching their grandkids play in the sprinkler. Right?

Of course, that frees up Cara - who would of course be a cause of Jake's and Amanda's frustration and could even cause Amanda's Crazy Genes to kick into high gear. I've missed crazy Janet from Another Planet. We need some of that again!

Bring back Adam and Brooke!! Give JR and Adam a chance to kiss and make up and that relationship to heal.

I wonder if they are going to kill anyone off at the end? Or end it like the Sopranos? With Erica being in danger, makes me wonder.

And does that woman EVER take a day off NOT wearing makeup? Most of us take it off before bed at night, but noooo she's gorgeous while sleeping. Some of us don't even wear makeup on the Saturday if we are just staying home. Never seen Erica without makeup, even at her worst. I would think being kidnapped you could forego a little mascara!

Sooooo, Jane had plastic surgery to change her face to look like Erica's. Reminds me of when Janet from another plantet became "Jane" the accountant after she was let out of prison for experimental facial surgery, but that was to explain the different looking actress, not that she was trying to look like someone.

Jane must have a really tortured past, though, with a lot of loss. She seems to have a lot of mental issues, too.

What if she thinks Erica had the life she should have had. Maybe the writers are giving us a gigantic historical twist. Maybe Mona actually couldn't have children, and Eric Kane paid or blackmailed for an illegal adoption, but when Eric Kane went to pick up the baby, there were twin girls? And what if he just callously picked one up and told the mother to "Do whatever you want with that one, I don't care." So Erica was chosen, Jane discarded like trash. Erica has lived the life Jane should have had, so she steals it back. Maybe as a birthright because Jane was the oldest twin!

Oh, - sorry. I think I drank one too many.

I had quit watching when Dixie had come back but had her cousin posing as her. So how did she finally really "die" and what was up with the ghost? Was the ghost before she "died" when we just thought she was dead, or was that after she really died? I remember seeing one episode where she as the ghost, was protecting Tad and her little girl, and then of course, when JR got his bone marrow transplant and was on death's door and saw Dixie. Of course, that could have just been a drug-filled hallucination (and Tad's was a dream when in the chapel). I'm confused.

I was thinking if the show hadn't been cancelled, that one day they would have to give Erica a mental status exam for early Alzheimer's if she ever got "old and forgetful."
One thing they ask is to name the presidents, starting with the latest and going backwards in time.

But to test her mental cognition, they could ask Erica to name her husbands, starting most recent and going back. I always thought that would be funny. But even this new Erica could recite those.

It is confusing about the dress. The captor must have drugged ERica again and changed their outfits.

Susan Lucci on the view. Kidnapper is an identity thief who has had plastic surgery to look like Erica. Sounds like a pretty good storyline.....

ESPECIALLY since Lucci said that the writers are back that we know and love, who know and love our characters of PV, in fact, created our entire PV - Agnes Nixon and Elaine Broderick!! So we should see great stuff "a tribute to our fans" in the final months! THAT excites me.

And a reality show is replacing AMC, that is 40% more cost effective? Really people? I get enough reality at night in primetime.

IMHO - Erica, who has been doing the job for 41 years, could easily do reality Erica, as could Tad, Opal, some of the other oldies. HA! Reality AMC, unscripted. Oh well. Maybe all the cast can go on the next Survivor. We could have the Kane tribe and the Martin tribe. Now that would be really fun.

Since the show will end it may pull out all the stops and have some of the originals return.. I always thought that the kidnapper may be someone from Erica's past such as Brooke or Adam or Dinmitri. When I saw the others oh the Oprah show last month... they looked Terrible and the writers would not DARE have them come back any any capacity... they are overweight and all really look as if they had been sick or suffering from some sort of illness except Adam, and Dimitri, Even Erica real life husband looked better than her past husband and for years Helmuth was never in the running with her leading men but DAM, they really looked bad except for Adam and Dimitri, Dimitri had a hat on and Adam looked well kept. And jak looked alright too but the need to watch his forehead and the number of lines in his brow, the number are realy begining to increase and deepen.

Isn't this a bit out of character? She has no mental illness and really is a pretty ethical person, level head on her shoulders, doing the right thing. I know she was a wild child at times in the past, but I really thought she was pretty stable. She would have to have a mental breakdown to do something like this.

AND lots of money to recreate a place in a soundproof environment with all the camera equipment.

All to get Jack?

Well, its quite a twist in the plot. I just sure wasn't expecting that and it is a little hard to believe she woudl do something like that.

Moving to California and changing to a dull brown tone background and wardrobe, leaving behind all the great stars and putting them out to pasteur.

I had a feeling when they moved to Calif. that this was the beginning of the end. But One Life too!! I have watched AMC since Erica had a crush on Phillip and they used to hang out in the malt shop. 1970. That's a long time to watch a show. These actors left their lives in New York to pack up and move to Calif, now they are all going to be out of a job. That just stinks. They are going to put on ANOTHER food show and a lifestyle show. Really?? Do they really think we are going to watch these new shows for our beloved soaps? Not me! I used to watch ABC a lot. Now I only have 2 shows I watch on this network. I'm almost tempted to drop them and never watch ABC again. I also LOVE OLTL. Right now the writing is much better than AMC. I cannot express the sadness I feel today.

Hello All, I saw Janet (from another planet ) on Days of our lives. she is being type cast as a criminal or I should say a shady character plotting to bump someone off.

I guess shows will have revolvong doors because its funny to see Bianca and the girl who played Frankie and her sister on the same soap. Y&R and the guy who played Ryans brother now playing a role where these 2 women have an interest or experience with him. he plays the role better on Y&R than he did on AMC. I dont like the new Scott even though he played someone else earlier in the soap. I dont like him playing Scott. But he was on AMC and went to Y&R ansd now back on AMC. I guess jobs are had to keep everywhere

Haven't been on here in a while; love catching up with what you all have to say.We've had tons of snow this year and I've been having lots of fires,hot chocolate and dog naps with my dogs in front of the roaring fire. It's Kendall that I'm getting sick of.You are so right about the surgery scene.Bazaar.Did any of you ever read or see Stephen King's Misery? Great book and movie; love the king.Anyway,there's this part where Annie goes off about what the writers of those old serial movies used to do all the time. They would show you a scene, say a car goes off a cliff with a person in it and the next week they would show the continuance with the guy jumping out just before it went over the cliff. And Annie yells "That's not the way that it happened - HE DIDN'T GET OUT OF THE COCKADOODIE CAR !!!!Well, it's almost like the writers want us to believe something as ridiculous as that!They must think we are morons with the IQ of a shoelace!So, of course Madison is going to screw up Ryan and Greenlee(she brought it on herself, Scott is going to fall for Madison.Erica screwed things up for her and Jack-AGAIN. And everyone knows how much I love Erica.Mountain man go back to the mountain. I,too wasn't crazy about Damon but he grew on me.I think the new Marissa is WAAAAAY better than the old one,but still not JR material.It's impressive to see how much JR cares about Annie even though he's as crazy as she is for trusting in her.I thought they would drag the Colby/handcuff thing out forever - at least until she was almost dieing from starvation.Now what will JR do?Forgive her again.Cara is very pretty but irritating. The surgery in that back of the Ambulance was expected and Dr. Delicious.set free of course, we all knew that once Kendall remembered that she shot David that he would never go to jail especially when she became ill.

If anyone watches Oprah today or tonight, make sure you see Demetri Merek on as one of Erica many husband and Phil Brent is there also, he has gained so much weigh that I almost didnt recognize him and of course Adam is there and Jack ... I usually dont qwatch Oprah but I will catch it tonight

What are the writers thinking? I just have to hang my head.

First of all, where is Erica when her daughter is having heart surgery? As a mother, I would be right outside, or in the waiting room, or cafeteria, but definitely AT the hospital, phone in hand. Griff had to leave a message? Who doesn't answer their phone when their daughter is about to go into surgery? Unbelievable!

Second - Kendall struggling with all the wires and monitors, actually getting up and going out into the cold. Really? Really??? If I knew I had an aneurysm that was about to burst, and if I put myself in danger and died, leaving young children without any parents at all???....well, just wouldn't do it and don't think any loving mother would. Including Kendall. Unbelievable!!

And thirdly - in taking all those wires and monitors off of a HEART patient, all the bells and whistles would have gone off and staff would have come running with Code Blue!! Yet, nothing happened. Why have the monitors attached to make sure your heart is beating, if when you take them off, nothing happens????? Again, the writers don't seem to have thought this whole scenario through.

Sorry, JMHO. I really try to give them a break, but this was just waaaay too unbelievable and DUMB.

I kind of felt sorry for dAVID being divorced, not that I any way liked hime being with Greenlee but just the fact tha he does not have anyone, I know I know its his own fault but I think the right thing to do is have him hook up with lisa which will be a good match, they can have a child and hall the sex they need.
Also, his predictions will come through as soon as Ryan finds out that Greenlee tried to get rid of Madison and his new addition.

So, its back on the cyle again..AND PLEASE, PLEASE, TAD needs a love in his life. Or at lease to be dating....

Boy, it was really a delight to see all of those old faces. 2003 makes it 12 years ago and some of the characters have really aged now and some have not. It is so sad to see that TAD has not had a decent story line in years. Dixie is GONE, I really mean gone, He needs to have a woman in his life. I am not really in favor of AMC since they have not found a good match for TAD. The DAMON they had was not a good match either. Even though I didnt like Damon at the beginning, I liked him by the time he left.
Seeing the old LIza on the show yesterday, showed how little charisma this new liza has, ther is NO match.
Seeing Adam, Maria and Edmond and God Bless Murtlye just good to see them and also the others who went to Y&R
it concluded with how empty the show has become and lifeless the new actors are in what they gave up to get what they have now.... No comparison,,, the writers of AMC have not GAINED anything over the years. NOthing

How FUN! Finally instead of just randomly pulling a show out of the past to show us, they replayed a fan fantasy one. I remember how much I enjoyed it the FIRST time I saw it years ago! It was so fun seeing Tad the Cad with all the womanizing, and so many of the long-gone characters again! I thoroughly enjoyed it!

Have you noticed missing from the new Promo for AMC is Damon (who definitely looks like may be leaving PV), Natalia, and I only see Amanda walking with Jake. Cara gets more intro than Amanda! I'm wondering if both Natalia and Amanda are soon to be leaving the show?

What ever happened to the lovely Holiday episodes they used to have .No one in a Santa suit at the hospital no one gathering around anyone's tree with some eggnog no gift exchange no party at the Miranda centre. If they have to reruns could they a least have some of the classic holiday shows nothing much for either Thanksgiving or Christmas I would love to see a News Years celebration like the days of the Crystal Ball . Come on AMC get in the spirt
