If you are already missing the films on TCM, steer your dish around to Arabsat 3A at 26.0�E. You can pick up the Bahraini station MBC2, which shows virtually nothing but English-language films and serials subtitled in Arabic (and on Saturdays it shows English Premiership games).
And if you are missing those crappy ITV soaps, try Pobol Y Cwm on S4C: it's very well subtitled and has that strangely tacky yet addictive feel of an ITV soap (constant bust ups, weddings, overacting etc.) - I'm quite addicted now.
Oh, and last time I looked, B4U was broadcasting FTA again.
