The only rights issue I ever heard of from the mouths of BBC spokesmen was for television. They never said anything about radio except for Five Live (which was encrypted). If rights really WERE an issue for radio there wouldn't be so many internet radio streams now and - years before the move to 2D - all the radio stations would have been encrypted along with television on Astra 2B (as the SKY people wanted!). As far as I know it's the TELEVISION "spillover" to the whole of France and Benelux that's got the rights holders' backs up.

Just remembered: didn't Greg Dyke once work for SKY or am I just going senile?
