 I wrote this poem about one of my teachers. Let me know what you think!

Reach

When the clock shows two minutes
before the end of class,
the bookbags rustle.
“I’ll...I’ll just keep you a minute longer!”
The shuffling only increases.
He talks faster,
but some are already standing up.
“And with that I’ll let you go...”
the last syllables not even heard
amidst twenty five people leaving.
He becomes quiet
and then bows his head
to organize his papers on the podium.
