In reply to: Melissa 's message, "DW Interview in today's NY Times" on 06:18:02 07/29/01 Sun

His daughter wrote me last year that he had uttered a mild protest because of the "baddi_101" in the site's URL. But this is not my fault. The URL used to be "www.geocities.com/hollywood/cinema/1941" before Geocities merged with Yahoo... Two years ago, they replaced the later half of the long URL with my Yahoo ID. I was not pleased.

I tried to move the site to david-warner.iquebec.com but the service was too mediocre. I only stick with Geocities because it is, by far, the best free site-hosting service on the Web.

Hi-
When I read the article I knew that he (DW) had interpreted what I had said in the wrong way. I guess he didn't know that the site was devoted to him. During the interview he must have said something in passing and it was printed that way. Please accept my humble apology for that slip up. I didn't really protest it, they exaggerated that a little...I just told him about it. Anyway, sorry about that. Melissa Warner.
