Have just become HUGE fan of David Warner after seeing his portrayal of Captian Sawyer in Hornblower. Have since been surfing the sites for information. Please explain which theatre you saw DW in and what he was playing. Eteranally grateful, a fellow fan.

I saw David Warner twice last Summer making his Broadway debut in Bernard Shaw's 'Major Barbara'. His performance was magnificent and I had the pleasure of meeting him at the stage door. He's a very nice guy and a true gentleman.
Welcome to the Board :-)!

He was at the Lyric in London in Feast of Snails. There are some pages still up at UK newspaper sites, but the play closed on the 16th. I still wish someone would put on Pete Townsend's musical about the Net (before it was even invented!) with him in it, since we all know he can sing. Anyone remember what it was called? I think it had a one-off staging over a year ago, but I couldn't find much about it at all.

So grateful for your prompt reply - I can't stop thinking about him - such I shame I've missed his London stage performance. Will watch this site for news of his next work, be it on tv or film or stage. Feel like I'll go to the end of the earth to see him. Not felt like this since I was a school-girl, I know you will understand how I feel. Kindest regards, Glyn
