You're actions now, they're really driving me
Driving me into a deep bed of insanity
You need to talk to me
You need to feel it deeply
*It was about 1:30 when she finally pulled into Dean’s driveway, she had found the place with little mishaps, not unless you count the wrong turn she took, but she realized her mistake quickly and was able to find her way back to the right road with out loosing much time. She always had a pretty good sense of direction, but she was in a new situation, so even if she did have a major mishap it could be forgiven. After all this was all new to her, the car, the streets, and the country, the streets signs always managed to confuse her, as she tried to figure out why they were driving slow, then it dawned on her, that she was in America, and things were no in miles, not kilometers. Of course once she remembered this it made more sense, but still didn’t stop having that affect on her.
But before you go and get worried Dean, don’t worry the car is fine. There weren’t that many cars on the rode this time at night, and that scratch they will hardly notice it. Kidding, there was is no scratch, the streets are much wider here then in some places in Europe, she had no issues at all, other then figuring out the signs, and conversions, when all she wanted to do was sleep. Can travel kill you? If it can she was sure, she would be a victim of it. okay, maybe she was over exaggerating a bit, but she only managed to gain 3 hours sleep in the airport at Germany, which meant that since Tuesday 6am, she only got that three hours sleep, it was now nearing 7am on Thursday where she came from, which means she had about 3 hours sleep in a 48 hour time. So excuse her Dean, she wasn’t about to be the most perky person, or the most social, she catch up with you once she got her sleep.
Pulling the car into park, a little behind Dean’s, she rolled her shoulders a bit, turning to look at the house. hopefully this was it, it sure looked like somewhere she expect to see Dean, but what did she know? she hasn’t seen the guy in over 9 years. They weren’t kids anymore, and she surely can’t claim she knew him anymore. Leaning back into the seat, she took a deep breath closing her eyes. Okay, ready, here goes nothing. leaving Angie in the car for now, as well as the bags, wanting to make sure she had the right place before she unpacked everything. It was still raining, pouring to be exact, and even with her quickened pace, there was enough distance that she was pretty much soaked by the time she reached the door. Oh well… nothing she could do about that. Moving up the steps, she hesitated outside, which just ended up with her, getting even wetter, but… this was it. Maybe this was a mistake, what was she thinking after nine years, he was probably just being nice, had no interest in meeting her again. probably barely remembered her, how many people remembered there friends from nine years ago? And from the number that does remember them, how many actually bother to look them up?
Oh well, she wasn’t’ turning around now, she came this far, she wasn’t going to let herself chicken out. Reaching to ring the bell, she stood stiffly, shivering in the rain waiting for him to open the door. Though thankfully he most have been waiting for her, as he answered the door rather quickly…leaving her to stand, and stair dumbly at what must be her childhood friend. And suddenly she felt really uneasy, and completely insecure. If she looked anything near what she felt, she must look like shit, and god knows what she must smell like. Her hair, well all of her could use a nice scrubbing. But her hair, which was normally golden, had lost that shine, as it became greasy, and she at the moment had it tied up, into two braids on each side of her head, her clothes were ruffled, and wrinkled, and she couldn’t wait to get out of them. Now to top it all off, she was soaked, and probably appeared to be some wet-rat. Looking at her, clean, dry, and well-groomed, ‘friend’, she really felt out of place, and probably looked it too. One can only go so long with out a shower before they just became as her daughter had put it ‘ewww’ and sinks only worked ‘so well’ for someone her size. Both her and Angie needed a nice scrubbing, but sleep first please.
She wasn’t’ sure how long they just stood there, but she finally made the first move, she was tired and as much as she like to let him get over the shock of the fact she actually showed up looking like crap, she wanted sleep. She apologize later, moving forward she embraced him, unless of course stopped, and she wouldn’t blame him, she kissed his cheek quickly, again unless he made a move to stop her. It was nice to see him again, he still looked much like she remembered him, just taller, and more ‘formed’ if you know what she means. Stepping away form him, she lifted her gaze to him once more*
“il suo piacevole per vederla ancora Deangelo, l'ho mancata”
*She wasn’t sure how he would take what she just said… giving him a second to process what was going on. This was probably as…awkward for him as it was for her, though at least he had the privilege of being dry, and clean, and hopefully more rested. She hoped she hadn’t kept him up to much. again the idea that maybe this was a dumb idea passed through her, but it was to late now. she was here, after a few moments she spoke up again, gaze moving back to the car*
“Le mie cose č tuttavia nell'automobile”
*said quietly, before she moved slowly towards the car, opening the trunk, turning to Dean who had insisted on helping. She wasn’t going to bother with them both today, only two, one of hers and one of Angie’s. pulling out a red hard-shell suitcase, Angie’s which contained not only Angie’s clothes, but the whine, and food she brought. Angie’s clothes took up much less room because she was small, so her suitcase had the room for the whine, and whatever else she took. The hard-shell case of it, would protect the food from being squished she hoped. Pulling out a dark blue soft shell case, she preferred sot cases, mainly do to the fact they collapsed easily for storage, she closed the trunk of the car, leaving the two others behind, before moving to the passenger side door*
“Non l'ho detta di Angie ha fatto io?”
*Said quickly, knowing she didn’t… oops. Oh well… hopefully he wouldn’t mind, but if he did she be off to find a hotel. She didn’t want to be a burden. Collapsing the passenger seat, she reached into the back, and unbuckling her daughter, and lifting her from her seat. She tried to do it with out waking her, but it was hard with the angle. Shifting her daughter onto her hip, the rain causing her to stir further, she lifted her head, blue eyes moving to look at Dean before she snuggled back down against her mother*
“Questo č Angela... mia figlia…. Lei bada a?”
*asked cautiously, she wasn’t sure how he would take to her springing the daughter thing on him. she should have mentioned it earlier, but… it bad as it sounds never crossed her mind. Shifting Angie a bit, doing her best to keep her dry, she waited for Dean’s response and to be led in side to her room. Please Dean, let them deal with this tomorrow… for now she just wanted sleep*
