First of all thank you both for your honesty - your both excellent writers and this is why - you care about your quality of writing first and foremost. Mary, I think your right I love C&S but it did go on a different path than what you intended - but you could take this path and wrap it up. Short isn't always bad, or at this point in the story you could get Michael and Nikita out of that apartment and back to work ;-> But if it's just not working for you maybe you can table this for now, get to work on a different story and pick this up as ideas come to you. I haven't read G&E but would love to.

Rox - you know how much I love your work - I just saw you posted another chapter I hope the muse starts flowing and you enjoy what your writing!! You are so talented, I don't know how many times I've querked an eyebrow at the idea of your stories only to absolutely fall head over heels in love with them (In time to love, Overlord, The Raven). Sounds like you have so much going on in life - I hope this can provide a release for you and not create more stress for you - but just know we love your stories so much!
