I was one of the lucky to test drive the 1.6 version of the megane CC, and the diesel 1.9 dci (normal Megane) the difference is the torsion bigger in the diesel one, but with the hood of the car the petrol version is so quit and very smooth, the diesel will allways have the noise problem (not so loud) but you hear it over the petrol version.

Both cars were great but for me the comfort/and price of fuel are nr 1 to think of.
