Legolas jerked his arm back, holding it to his chest and backing up until he hit a wall. All the time looking at Aragorn in shock. 'He...he...they...' Legolas could feel shame and hurt swell in him. 'I don't want to think about it. He's acting just like them.' To his own surprise Legolas could feel something wet trailing down his cheek. He reached up and touched it in shock. 'I'm...crying?' He stared at his hand. Elves only cry once in a century. 'He's drunk.' Legolas told himself but that didn't make the pain go away. Legolas went over to the drawers, keeping his head low all the time. He found the herbs in the second from the top and took out the ones he needed. He took a bowl and a pitcher of water from the table. He crushed the herbs in the bowl and poured water in until it was a liquid that someone could drink. He held it in one hand and slowly approached Aragorn, still not looking up. He put the bowl on the table next to Aragorn, speaking softly. "This'll help." Legolas turned on his heal and walked quickly out of the door, heading back outside.
