Without seeing the device in person, it's impossible to say for sure. If you recharge the device and it does not appear to be holding a charge, then it could be the battery. Rechargable batteries do eventually die.

Try to contact a place like GetHighTech.com . They are experts in this area. They can also replace the battery or sell you a replacment so you can do it yourself, if that is the problem.
