I have to be honest. I like the nostalgia aspect of remembering the old days of radio. I miss much of what made listening to the early days of rock music on FM so great. I miss the eclectic mix of music on the FM dial in the late 60's and early 70's. I miss hearing great new songs.

Nowadays, I almost never listen to any radio station. I do discover lots of great new music on places like YouTube. I've discovered artists I'd never have heard of if I depended on radio to hear new music. I've even found entire genres of great sounding music that is never, ever played on regular radio.

Maybe this forum isn't the place to mention it, but if 'DVE plays Janis Joplin's great old recordings, there's no reason why they shouldn't also be playing Grace Potter's great NEW recordings.
