Subject: RIP Nick Cenci

Nick Cenci's passing deserves acknowledgement in this forum, if not for his work at WCAE and WTAE, for his success in bringing Pittsburgh artists including Lou Christie and The Vogues to national prominence and for his ear for national hits which helped make Pittsburgh radio known for breaking records, many of which Nick promoted at Fenway Distributors. So much of the music we heard on the radio in Pittsburgh in the 60s and 70s passed through Nick's hands.
The post Gazette's Scott Mervis did a great job in memorializing this very important "behind the scenes" guy
