It was a set in the studio with just a small section of a bar and window so it looked like the announcer was sitting a the end of a bar in a pub. Just him on a stool with a newspaper and a bottle/glass of beer on the counter. I believe it was on the old KDKA. I think it was supposed to have been George Eisenhower who got a bit tippsy. Might be an 'urban legend", but I recall seeing the show when I was young
Wasn't Bill Burns sponsored by a beer as well. I recall seeing a beer poured each night on live tv.
