Doug's biggest asset--and liability--was his moods. His quirky nature was over some heads, and he may have run some things into the ground ("Godfather" lines, for example). The notion of a show aimed at pop culture may well have given him real success and put him in the best possible light.

Likewise, Doug's pal Cullen should have gotten out of politics and headed to a more general type of talk 20 years ago. Again, she'd have been great at it but she can't handle a political show and it shows.
